Date:  September 30th, 2003

Meeting Started at: 6:05 P.M.

Unexcused Absences:  Tamara Ojanen

Excused Absences:  Nicole Carlson, Frank Hahnenberg, Matthew Heyse, Asehinde James, Paul Lefief, Matthew McQueen, Brian Mooren, William Murphy, Paul Nitschke,

Minutes: Passed

President:  Rob Bishop contacted us about someone being drunk and throwing up at Finding Nemo.  Our policy on this is there is no intoxication allowed.  The person ripping tickets should try and keep an eye out for this.

Vice President:  Sheets going around, looks like it will get filled up.  Make sure to check all your shows you worked at marked accordingly.  Greg found a slide maker that costs about $80 to make a slide.  Currently to make 9 slides it costs around $80.

Secretary:  The membership list is completely updated as far as I know.  Make sure when sending an email for an excused absence; don’t reply to the meeting minutes email, it will get sent to the whole list.  Instead, just send an email to jajeske@mtu.edu.

Treasurer:  For City of Ghosts we sold 177 tickets and made $168.40 in concessions, leaving us with about $9,000 in our budget, pending the funds from USG.

Publicity:  The table tents are screwed up this week.  The dates got misprinted.  It seems if you save the file as the first file name, the old one gets printed.  If you see a poster or a table tent that’s wrong, please correct it by putting October 3rd/4th.

Equipment Supervisor:  Movie should be show Wednesday at 7:30 or so depending if it comes in.  For the preview, anyone is welcome to come and see how to put it together.

Web page:  Not present.

Advertising:  Not present.

Concessions:  Scott is going to buy more supplies and would like some feedback on the new popcorn.

Advisor:  Nothing to report.

Old business:  None.

New business:  Craig found a base for the popcorn popper.  It comes with wheels and will be around $800 after shipping and handling.  There was a motion to purchase the new base, the motion was seconded and passed.  We could really use something better then dragging that desk back and forth.  There was another motion to get folding tables to conserve space; the limit was set at $100.  The motion was seconded and passed.  The only problem is we have to work something out with the cotton candy setup.  Also we should mark the table as soon as we get it with Filmboard.

Motion to adjourn, motioned passed.

Meeting Adjourned: 6:20 P.M.

Dutifully Submitted,

John Jeske
