Film Board Minutes

Minutes: Passed

President: Promotional Mini Disks: We were given mini cd previews of 'American Soldier' to hand out at the end of out movies. Movie Conflict: 'School for Scoundrels' hasn't been approved for showing yet. Mary asked for a back-up in case it isn't approved. It was passed that we revote rather than accept our second choice 'Jackass II'. 'Employee of the Month' had the most votes and will be replace it if it isn't approved. Mark will know at the end of the week and notify the e-mail list.

Vice President: Requirements reduced: Because of people being overachievers and new members, the show requirement has been reduced to 8 shows for this semester.  

Secretary: no report

Treasurer: we made around 21 from tickets. Working on ways & means  

Equipment Supervisor: no report

Publicity: Didn't get the dining services slips yet, but will get them soon.  

Concessions: ???

 

Advertising: ???

Advisors: no report   

Old Business: Compensation Policy:

Officers: $75 to President, Vice President, Treasurer, & Equipement Supervisor(+$20 for assembling films & $5 for previewing each week). $50 to Secretary, Concessions (+$25-gas/vehicle), Publicity, Advertising, Webpage.    

Films: <120 minutes (3 shows): $60,   >120 minutes (3 shows): $70

         Outside shows: 1 showing: $35,  2 shows: $50,  3 shows: regular rate

Preceding compensation Policy passed.

Winter Carnival: Discussion about the day during the week that we should show a movie was discussed. People might not want to see a movie on the weekend days.  We'd have to work around the pancake breakfast. This will be brought up next week.

New Business: Constitution: The constitution is more updated than we thought; USG has the updated one; now might be a good time to make any changes.
