Film Board Minutes

Minutes: Passed

 

President: Vote Kyle for USG President. Vote early & often.               

 

Vice President:      

 

Secretary: N/A. Should be getting report from International Film Festival.  If you can’t make a shift, you need to find a replacement, not just send out an e-mail.

 

Treasurer: $1800 in tickets. He and Mark went to USG for money. They will let us know in a week for budget (savings account for big budget projector/upgrades).  Vote for Kyle.              

Equipment Supervisor: no report 

 

Web page: Lost access to site. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

 

Publicity: no report           

 

Concessions: good to go.

           

Advertising:  Gone, having some problems with previews, but we’ll work them out.    

 

Advisors: Dave: no report                     

 

Old Business: Tickets for ‘Night at the Museum’ are good. Forestry movie is going up next week.  Next Thursday at 6:00pm we are making cotton candy for the day care.  Austin: ‘I talked to the custodians about a key to the janitors closet. Closet by 135 got dual-cored so we have access to it. We’re going to get 1 key to Fisher 135 which has to be turned in at the end of the year.

 

New Business: Events: Anyone who wants to be part of Winter Carnival 2008, there’s a forum tomorrow. Leadership week is this week. Spring Fling is coming; think of stuff to do. Pre-movie music: Sarah: “People complaining about pre-movie music, if put something together would it be ok?.” No Objections. Projector: The framing light switch on the projector is broken. You can still turn it on, and Jeff will show people who want to know if you ask. Randy will fix it over break. Movies New voting system: hand voting to narrow down, followed by discussion to decide last 3 films. Two (2) swank, one (1) criterion.  Extra Credit: Move to table issue of our extra half credit until we find out what the problem are involved with breaching the contract. Passed. Move to strike Pan’s Labyrinth from list since it’s a DVD. Passed. Swank: Dreamgirls & Déjà vu. Criterion: The Invisible
